Artiste, Manager, Bullet says he has the “button” to destroy Ebony’s career.

Speaking to JOY NEWS, he claimed it will be suicidal for the the latter to leave his label because he “made her” and can crush her career if need be.

“Ebony can never be ungrateful because I made her. I have the button to press to go up or to come down. If she becomes ungrateful, it is her own matter.” boasted Bullet.

Ebony is usually critized for what many say is her lack of talent, and believe her showing skin on stage and in music videos is to push attention from her untalented self.

In July 2017, her dad was forced to defend her daughter in an interview with Graphic Showbiz.

“I am supportive of anything my daughter does and anything she wears. I am not ashamed as a father, the truth is that, I choose what she wears and I bless her before she goes out to perform. Some Ghanaians are hypocrites and I am sorry but I am not one of them,” explained Mr. Kwarteng.

“I am not bothered at all. The reason is simple, I know my daughter than anyone else. What people see out there is what we want them to see and that is because she is an artiste and needs a brand that will sell. For God’s sake, she is a Dancehall artiste and she wears what will make her feel confident when performing on stage. Something that will depict the genre of music and songs she churns outs.”
 

He shared his thoughts on the the perception that his daughter is a “bad” girl.

“My daughter is not a bad girl, she is very calm, loving and a respectful person. Whatever she does on stage ends there. She is a different person when she gets home.”

He also spoke about the relationship between himself and his “girl as I usually call her is close to my heart.”

“We are so close that I gave her the go ahead when she told me she wanted to do music. Initially I questioned her decision because, she is a very intelligent girl and was doing extremely well in school and every parent will want his or her child to get to the top of the highest academic ladder. But she insisted music was what she wanted to do. Music is where her heart is and I gave her my blessings. I couldn’t have stopped her because these children are smart.”

Born Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng, her song ‘Kupe’ helped her gain mainstream attention in the Ghanaian music industry.

She scored two nominations at the 2017 Ghana Music Awards: Dancehall Artiste of the Year and Best Reggae/ Dancehall Song of the Year .

I dropped out of school in JSS 2 – Nana Ama Mcbrown reveals

Renowned Ghanaian actress, Felicity Ama Agyemang known as Nana Ama McBrown has disclosed that she dropped out of school in JSS 2 due to challenges faced by the family.

She was speaking at the ‘Tek Talk’ at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in the Ashanti Region.

She confessed that she did not have the opportunity to write the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) while she was a student at Kwadaso L.A. J.S.S.

“I dropped out of JSS because my parents were unable to finance my education. I don’t have a certificate even though I wish I had.”

She blamed this on the large family size at the time coupled with the economic situation. She had to leave school to pursue other interests, especially professional football which she was good at.

Though she observed that it has remained one of the major challenges in her life, it does not suggest the end of life as she appears to be doing well in other areas. She however hinted of plans to further her education in the near future.

“I don’t have the degree or the educational certificates but I will do them someday. I want to use this opportunity to urge you not to allow challenges like this to weigh you down. Be yourself and do not strive to be like Nana Ama McBrown because you will remain in my shadow if you want to be like me,” she advised.

Hiplife musician Captain Planet has told Citi Showbiz in an exclusive interview that he has not broken away from the 4×4 music trio as has been recently speculated.

According to him, the rumour circulating that the group has collapsed after the release of his latest hit song, is not true.

“People are asking if I have left 4×4. But I am still with them. The group is still intact and people should expect more songs from 4×4 and more singles from Captain Planet,” he said.

Recently, it was reported that the foundation of the group was wobbly and that a possible break up was imminent.

Captain Planet whose latest ‘Obi Agye Obi Girl’ is gaining rotation on most radio stations had earlier released several solo projects like ‘The Good Bad Girl,’ ‘Sangbelegbe’ and ‘No New Friends.’

Talking about the motivation behind his latest banger ‘Obi Agye Obi Girl,’ he said he composed the song from conversations that go on in our environment.

My family has been in the US since 'Konkontibaa' days - Obour replies Akoo Nana

President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bice Osei Kuffour, better known as Obour, has responded to a claim by Akoo Nana that he spends the Union's money extravagantly with his family abroad.

Akoo Nana also added that, Obour neglected his responsibilities as leader of the Union leaving musicians to wallow in poverty.

In response to these allegations on Cosmopolitan Mix on Joy FM with Doreen Andoh, Obour rubbished the claims.

He insisted that his family has been living in the United States since the days he had his hit single 'Konkontibaa' in 2004.

“Recently, I heard one from Akoo Nana. He hears that my family is in the US and [concludes] I have taken MUSIGA’s money. My family has been living in the US since Konkontibaa days,” Obour revealed.

According to the MUSIGA President, some of these comments that are passed about him are not true and this, he says is unfortunate.

“If you don't know and you just say that Obour has made money [from MUSIGA]. It is sad,” he stated.

He added that he laughs off some of these pronouncements because they are baseless.

Obour mentioned that the numerous complaints he receives about his administration are borne out of the lack of understanding of MUSIGA’s role.

He disclosed that, the Union is strategizing to upgrade its communication machinery to better inform and educate and Ghanaians on the mandate of MUSIGA.

Patapaa paid me GHC20 for ‘One Corner’ song - Music producer

Swedru-based music producer, Peter Morgan Wright also known as Mr Loyalty has revealed the ‘One Corner’ hit-maker, Patapaa Amisty paid him just GH?20 for the song.

He explained that, the then underdog pleaded with him to record the song with the promise that when it becomes a hit, he would payback.

However, Mr. Loyalty said Patapaa has not fulfilled his promise when the song became a hit.

“Patapaa said please help me and I will never forget you. He gave me 20 cedis for the song. Aside One Corner, we have about four songs and he convinced me to be part of the song. I wrote all my lines. I mixed the beat…” the producer stressed.

Mr. Loyalty is demanding GH?1500 from Patapaa as settlement for his intellectual property.

'Sponsor' isn’t profane - Ebony Reigns

Ghanaian female dancehall artiste, Ebony Reigns, has voiced out her unsatisfaction about the decision by TV3 network, to edit portions of her song “Sponsor” insinuating profanity.

The 20-year artiste, says the song which is making waves since it releases, is simply a piece of good work and not profane as some want to portray it.

Through a Facebook post, Ebony who felt disappointed by the decision of TV3 drew the attention of the station, to do the needful and immediately remove the censor sound placed on portions of the song, so the video can be enjoyed fully.

According to Ebony, her song depicts and talks about current happenings in the Ghanaians society and not necessarily profanity, which the station has sought to show.

Despite the invasive hack, the "Come and Get It" singer's Instagram was only off-line for a few minutes and when her account came back the graphic images of the Canadian pop star had been deleted.
It may be just a coincidence but right around the time of today's hacking, the 23-year-old "Love Yourself" singer posted an unhappy looking image of himself on his Instagram Stories.
The NSFW pics of the "Sorry" singer are the very same images that images that were published (without the singer's okay) after the pop star’s trip to Bora Bora with beauty blogger Jayde Pierce two years ago.

Taylor Swift's Album Release Date Has Nothing to Do With Kanye West's Mother's Death Anniversary

After Taylor Swift  made her big music comeback and revealed this week her plans to release a new album, Reputation, on Nov. 10, many people speculated the date was no coincidence.
They noted on social media that Nov. 10 will mark the 10-year anniversary of the death of Kanye West's mother Donda West. Taylor and Kanye have feuded on and off for years and many listeners think their beef helped inspire the pop star's new album, recently released single "Look What You Made Me Do" and overall edgier new sound. She has not confirmed this.
"It is standard practice that releases come out on Fridays and we locked in this release date based on other Universal Music Group releases. There is no correlation," a source close to Taylor's record label, Big Machine Records, told E! News in a statement Friday.
Kanye has not commented. 

Kanye and Taylor's feud dates back to 2009, when he interrupted her at the 2009 MTV VMAs. He apologized on Twitter in 2010. Taylor and Kanye later reconciled publicly at the 2015 MTV VMAs, where she presented him with the Video Vanguard Award and joked, "I'm really happy for you and Imma let you finish but Kanye has had one of the greatest careers of all time


But in February 2016, Kanye sparked controversy again and angered Taylor's squad with his song "Famous," which contains the lyrics, "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous."
